Cut
Cut is about craftsmanship, not shape. Excellent and Very Good cuts maximise light return; we will help you compare cut grades on any stone you are considering.
Colour
Most engagement rings look beautiful from D through H in white gold or platinum. Yellow or rose gold can allow slightly warmer tones.
Clarity
Choose a clarity grade that is eye-clean at your chosen size. VS1–VS2 is a popular balance; larger stones may benefit from higher clarity.
Carat
Carat affects price exponentially. Consider slightly below popular weights (for example 0.9 ct vs 1.0 ct) for value without sacrificing presence.
